Full-time Physician Assistant 

Cheyenne County Hospital is on the cutting edge for a rural Critical Access Hospital in northwest Kansas as we strive to Improve Access to Quality Healthcare for our community. We are a 16-bed critical access hospital with two Rural 
Health Clinics in St. Francis and Bird City. We are continuously seeking opportunities to grow. A Physician Assistant (PA) is needed to join this growing group practice. Currently we have 1 MD, 1 DO, 1 full-time Physician Assistant, 1 part-time Physician Assistant, and a part-time Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC). We have two part-time CRNAs on staff.

A strong cardiopulmonary/respiratory therapy, physical therapy with aquatic therapy, diagnostic imaging, full laboratory and wound care departments are available in the hospital. Currently, specialists include cardiology, ophthalmology and a general surgeon who specializes in colon and rectal surgery. Outpatient services include MRI, mammography, nuclear medicine, audiology and sleep studies.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will serve as a primary care provider for preventative care, evaluation of new complaints, routine recurring visits for chronic illnesses, and emergencies when clinically indicated. Perform all duties necessary to promote an efficiently operated clinic and emergency room. Having Obstetric experience would be preferred and would assist in C-sections and back up call. Will share call rotation for emergency room. All duties conducted in accordance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements, established policies and procedures, and quality standards. 


 Education & Experience: Completion of a four-year accredited physician assistant program and a year of clinical training; or completion of a two-year accredited physician assistant program plus two years of clinical training following completion of PA program. ER experience, one year preferred.

Certification/Registration: Current state license to practice as a Physician Assistant
